One of the few remaining lilies of the Philippine variety was discovered recently in a small meadow next to the armory on Bismuth Street in Lexington, Ky.  Horticulturists from various organizations were gathered at a conference at a local university when one of them out for a walk discovered it.  The discovery was made by Spencer P. Adams, a noted scientific writer who was out for a stroll.

“I never realized I would ever see one of these,” he told reporters.

This may be one of the last of its kind in South.
